The state-level Single Window Authority meeting held under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja in the New Year has approved 25 projects worth Rs 4,222.24 crore, including this project. The government has claimed that if these projects are implemented, 14,497 employment opportunities will be created in the state. The approved projects will be set up in Angul, Ganjam, Khordha, Nabarangpur, Cuttack, Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Sambalpur, Sundargarh, Puri and Kandhamal.
According to the meeting, Bisleri International, a leading beverage bottling company, will set up a beverage factory in Khordha with an investment of Rs 165 crore. Shyam Metallics Specialty Alloys will set up a titanium slag factory in Sambalpur with an investment of Rs 710.50 crore. Hetero Labs will set up a pharmaceutical manufacturing plant in Ganjam with an investment of Rs 700 crore. Birendra Hotels & Banquets and Tabhasa Hospitality will build new star hotels in Khordha, Jagannath Corporation Projects in Puri and Kit Hospitality in Kandhamal.

Shobha Solar to set up a solar cell factory in Angul with an investment of Rs 380 crore. Adistham Ventures and Anubhav Apparels will manufacture garments in Khordha. Ganesh Ecopet, Rarian Fluid-Tech, Tech Noplast Packaging and Supreme Industries will set up RPET and PVC plants. Swazi Nutritionals will invest Rs 433.41 crore in a food processing plant in Khordha. Lumino Industries will set up an aluminium conductor and cable manufacturing plant in Jharsuguda. KSE Electricals will invest Rs 85.50 crore in Khordha. Century Industrial Products will invest Rs 110 crore for construction of rubber conveyor and transmission belt plant. Reliance Bio Energy will set up a biogas plant in Bargarh with an investment of Rs 121.21 crore. Utkal Hydrocarbon will set up a project in Jharsuguda, Labanyavati Minerals in Sundargarh, Maa Durga Coal and Minerals in Jharsuguda. Odisha Stevedores Limited will set up a freight terminal in Angul. Tarangire Distillery will set up an ethanol plant in Ganjam, it was revealed in the meeting. Principal Secretary, Industries Department Hemant Sharma and others were present on the occasion.
