Ram Mandir is situated on a hill near Phategarh in Bhapur Block and is 40 km from Nayagarh city and 65 km from Bhubaneswar.  This Ram temple was established on 22nd January 2024.  The construction of the temple started in 2017 and around 150 workers were involved in the temple work.  The Shri Ram Temple was built at a cost of over 10 crores with donations from the villagers of Bhapur, Fatehgarh and Shri Ram Seva Parishad.  The height of the temple is about 65 feet, Bhadra 35 feet, Mohan 25 feet and it is situated 1800 feet above sea level.  The architecture of this Ram temple is similar to that of Ganjam Maa Tara Tardhana Temple, which is only made of ‘Balamala’ stone.

According to locals, this Fatehgarh Ram Mandir has a historical legend.  Before the construction of the temple, there was Bhagavata Pieta on this hill.  The people of this village are worshiping Lord Govardhan for rain.  In 1912, Neem trees of Lord Jagannath’s Nabakalab were collected from this forest for Lord Sudarshana.  Chakradhar Pradhan of Fatehgarh village started building the temple on top of the hill and later the villagers cooperated with him.  The villagers of Fatehgarh formed a committee to commemorate the site and after some time started work on the temple.  A kindergarten and parking lot have been constructed on the hill for tourists and devotees  Fatehgarh Ram Mandir is one of the famous temples of Niagara district.
